Ik someone commented an unpopular opinion for rashta. Here's an unpopular opinion for the emperor. I dont rlly hate him as much as I pity him. He tried getting the best of both worlds by having navier and an heir. While his plan was reasonable in a sense, the one mistake where he fucked up greatly was not sitting down with navier to discuss the issue of infertility, whether on her part or his.
Now he has to deal with the consequences of his actions :))

Sometimes I think about it too. I could read the story about Rashta and the Emperor if before meeting Rashta, he'd be divorced or talked to the Empress about it. Because right now, he just continually humiliates her, without a doubt, and when things don't go the way it's supposed to be in his mind, he wants to blame everything on her. So them I keep getting pissed with them, they just keeping hurting her, humiliating her, and for some reason that I don't know which, the emperor still thinks that the Empress should obey him and accept everything with a smile. He's clueless, an idiot that it's blind by love. But I really can't stand him anymore since the birthday Empress episode, where he tried to sleep with her. Like WTF dude? What's wrong with you? And about Rashta, I get annoyed every time that she tried to act like the victim. Okay, she's trying to survive, deceiving him and everybody else, and keeps creating nasty rumors about people to get out of the spotlight. But everything else that happened to her, including this "humiliation" of now, was simply the result of her actions.

RIGHT like because some small ass rumor went around about her WHICH WAS TRUE she ruined three peoples lives because of a baseless rumor she made up. Like I do not feel bad for her at all. I hate her and the emperor. They want everything to go their way no matter how many people's feelings they have to trample on

Ok, I was honestly super happy that there's a manhua adaptation, but the way they're flying through everything is kinda disappointing. I get that they've omitted some things from the novel, but it just feels like we're skimming through the story. And this takes away the immersiveness of the story as well as some important information readers need to understand the characters.
If I hadn't read the novel first, I don't think I would've rlly enjoyed the manhua because Ling Lan is srsly OP. I would've thought she was OP for no reason other than bcuz she's the MC and dropped the manhua. It's only because of some info that u can only get from reading the novel that makes OP Ling Lan acceptable. Also, i don't think I rlly like the way Ling Lan is portrayed in the manhua :'))
Idk, I've got conflicting feelings for this manhua. But I still appreciate that I've now got something to distract me as I wait for Madame Ru to get out of hiatus :))

I feel exactly the same! And her devastating smile was so downplayed and her expressions are supposed to be colder too which makes the contrast between her outer aura and inner mind more striking but the manhua just makes her out to be so normal. I’m disappointed at the manhua’s subpar depictions. Though, it does seem interesting rn but yeah, novel definitely is better imo
Yo, yall need to chill and stop calling the emperor dumb and blind. Literally, our situation as a reader allows us to know everything. They, as characters, know limited info depending on their situation.
I've already said this (and ik some spoilers have already stated he knew all along or at least suspected) but this story would have ended long ago if her gender was revealed early on. Im excited for the gender reveal as with yall, but I also want to enjoy a long story instead of a quick short one. So stop complaining and just enjoy the the story and endure the wait jfc.
