Wait, wtf. I picked this up cuz I thought there wouldn't be harem. And even though the amount of female characters were increasing exponentially, I was still hoping it wasn't. But if it is harem, I'm dropping.
Srsly, although its not the main reason, harems have made it so that I've actually come to absolutely hate female characters. I can't help but harshly criticize everything about them. It rlly pisses me off bc I've had to drop so many series with good plots bc it went down the harem route. And over the years, this also started to apply to reverse harems.
But don't get me wrong, this doesn't mean I hate all female characters. Some of them are absolute precious gems. But the rest of the poorly written female characters can cease into existence for all that I care.

Everyone's talking about blair's harem, but I don't think there is one? Like I think the prince might actually like his adviser, and there might just be a misunderstanding or smth with the knight dude, and ofc the magician is probably just purely interested in her due to Claude, and he's not actually romantically interested.
Also, the art sometimes throw me off. Its kinda funny. One moment the art is nice and pretty. And then the next moment, the proportions are off, and im just like "lmfaooo what happened to your arms??"

It's honestly just kinda ehh. I dropped this story around the beginning chs but decided to reread to pass the time. It was ok but around ch 20 or so I was just reading for the sake of getting it done and over with. And then starting from the 2nd season, I just skimmed the whole way through.
The story is rlly only mostly focused on MC and ML, so the world building was kinda lacking. No srsly, it felt like the only characters present in this story were the the MC and the ML, followed closely by the MC's sister, the prince and the dad. Everyone else was kinda forgettable and faded into the background. Bc of this, there were a decent amount of plot holes.

Now this is how you write good shoujo MCs. I've been shying away from this story bc I thought the MC would be the typical "unreasonable, dramatic, childish, frustratingly naive, etc." kinda cliche character. But Haruhi knows how to set boundaries and has a clear attitude and knows what she wants in life. From the start, both of them acted like adults (as they should) and knew how to communicate with each other.
I'm no stranger to large age gaps since its kinda normal in my culture, but I rlly like how the both of them tackled and resolved this issue.
Also, I just gotta say that Haruhi at work is so attractive ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄
Romance in action stories is generally looked down upon. But the council concludes that secretary Cha gets a pass :))
