Hahaha. Yeah, I get you. It’s his character trait. He’s so “aware” of his surroundings it disables him from making the mogul moves we see with other mc’s. He has a perfect path laid out in front of him and he has no intentions of deviating from it. This is how it is in the novel. It’d be better to just drop, he’ll continue to frustrate you.

I feel like it’s giving weird little pick me and not a boss ass wicked babe you know….. like all of my faux-good guys only targeted those who deserved it. But the mc is so poorly written and just a bore. He makes it seem like he has so much control but all he does is fake all of his emotions and ignores the poor kid getting bullied. Then has the nerve to be scared shitless when he’s the one in the crosshairs. He has little to no personality over being a jealous powerless elitist little shit. Isn’t giving boss babe

I understand your pov, but I think that’s a bit shallow thinking. He is better written in the novel I agree, but the manhwa is doing a good job of being true to the source text. Some lines are literally straight out of the novel. I don’t think that there’s much Jun can do in many situations, especially with the kid being bullied. Jun did tell him it’s best to move schools bc given everyone’s backgrounds, it’s not like normal poor kids can win against them. Besides, you’re forgetting that Jun literally dislikes that kid that gets bullied. So why would he go out of his way to help him? Jun is elitist, he is petty, he is powerless (in physical sense, boy is literally a twink) and he is jelaous—all of which are completely understandable and expected (except for being twink lol) of an only child born into insanely wealthy family who raised him to be a perfect little boy. He just reads the room very well and does what he has to do not to be discovered as a gay and not to be bullied. Is he a good person is entirely different question.

But he is completely realistic and relatable character, even more relatable than every other character in the story imo, and generally just relatable. I understand why you said that he doesn’t have the “wicked boss ass babe” vibes because he doesn’t plot and scheme and doesn’t go out of his way to control and manipulate. He more or less goes with the current and just wants to finish school in peace while healing his broken heart. So yeah, he is toxic (especially later on in the novel) but he is not boring or stupid.

Idk if I’m making much sense here. People expect too much mental calisthenics from high schoolers sometimes, and Jun really has amazing narration and internal monologue. He is a smarty elitist panties and for that I like him a lot. ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~

You make a lot of sense but I feel like you have a deeper understanding because of the novel. as someone whose first impression is this manhwa. He’s not even the flattering asshole type like go yohan. He’s whiny and just a douche. Idk this archetype always irritated me and bored me to no end but he gives he’s so smart he’s dumb in all of the worse ways. I deeply appreciate your analysis tho. I might just give the novel a read.

He finally got his memories back and the guy he was sleeping with killed his dad. To top it off the guy thought he would present his dad’s corpse to him as a surprise present.
