
what he needed all along was the ability to trust people he thinks peoples well wishes to him are empty because he feels they would never wish well for him because he didn't grow up with parents who sincerely love him ,them letting him and his brother go and that directly impacted his emotional connection to people.

Well.. he kinda thinks its his fault for leaving an opening for someone to kiss him. It wasn't cool of that guy to do that though, as you said it's still assault. I wished Usui punched him or something.

Nonetheless they knew each other more than that and Hikasa chose to trust Usui, for which he is glad he did. So no worries.
