the way this manwha has degraded really makes me kinda sad in a way. i LOVED reading this back when it started, back when the real hitters were all active together (all the villainess isekais and the like) and i adored this one bc she was just “i wanna be rich!”, yk? now its all about javi of whatever and i just cant take that ship. i dislike when children suddenly grow up and become the male lead VERY much. there were two others that come to my head, one that was a duchess and a shapeshifter (wow, i just realized how similar that is to this…) and then a hanzel and gretal remake that was strange as well. it just feels wrong, even if they’re however old, they’re a CHILD in the eye of the mc, so we see them as a child. its the same thing as in anime when there’s a “a girl who LOOKS like a child but its actually a 1,600 year old dragon *shock*” ( ̄へ ̄)
the intel guy should’ve always been the male lead and i will ALWAYS believe this. screw javi, the soldier guy, and that other soldier guy (the other duke’s kid or whatever), GIVE ME LUCA LET ME AT EM
one thing i never understood abt the “royal heir” thing of this manwha (which is also said in the novel, which i was originally confused about) was, how is clawd’s son the crown prince???? like i understand that the king is unable to have children as per his own words, but he has a sister??? who also has a husband to which they can have kids??? like in what world does the duke have a higher chance of their child becoming king than a PRINCESS???? am i misreading this?

So I was thinking about this as well but I think the logic here (if any) is the princess station was demoted to that of her husband (FL's brother) so she wouldn't be next in line for the throne. However, the ML mother is also a princess and married a Duke and in going by hierarchy her son aka ML would be next but since he obvi will inherent the Dukedom plus the current king is also similar in age it will fall onto Caraim. It also helps since he's a boy cause patriarchy.
my thing is the princess is still higher up in the chain even if she IS a woman, if she has a child, then her kid is automatically gonna be higher up then cairam bc she’s directly related to the king by blood (siblings closer than cousins). why make cairam crown prince in this story when 1) the princess is LITERALLY right there and 2) gives cariam WAYYY less responsibility and answers what would happen bc of the king lack of children.
i can understand the point of the king naming his successor, however if we are going off of royal succession in the sense of the past (which is what most manwhas go off of), a princess normally never takes the throne UNLESS there is no prince/king in place to have children. if the king has no children, then the next in line is the princess’s children, to which if the king dies before the child is old enough to rule by themself, we see in countless cases in other manwhas (and irl) that the princess or next in line for the throne is made to be the queen regent while the actual monarch, the princess’s child becomes of age.
i’m CERTAINLY making this thing WAYYY out of proportion, but it just confuses me as to why the princess was right there and yet the duke’s child is the successor???

I think you missed the key point in the story of why the sisters children lose the right to the throne. Remember all the drama with the father and stepmother of Camilla. Well, they lost their position and so did the brother but the princess still decided to marry him because they love each other. Therefore, the princess, once she marries gets the hubby's rank in this case because of her hubby's punishment. Now I know you can just get adopted into her rank but because he was directly punishment (hiding the fact that he had a sister and not a brother), they couldn't do that. Choosing to still marry him was acknowledging that she will no longer be a princess. Losing her rights for the throne and her kids too. So the next higher rank in this case that can become a heir to the throne would be the duke's kids.
one thing i love abt this manwha is how every single character is rendering to fit the art style perfectly while keeping anatomy and their facial features pretty realistic to what actual people would look like, including that of the elderly people as seen in 21 and 22. its pretty standard for manwhas to have characters who are younger to be drawn with ease, but when it comes to those who have more age to them, thats where it seems like the artist has less experience and just draws lines on their face to show their age. to see someone who FITS the artstyle while also showing their age in such a way as this is quite nice to me, the kind that only happens every so often. every single character seems so lifelike in this manwha, like they feel realistic (artstyle-wise) while also being unique in the way that only this artist could draw them like that. anyway, props to them.

i gotta say, i am actually genuinely satisfied that this manwha is ACTUALLY a reverse harem and not just a singular “one guy gets the girl out of all of them”. it makes me genuinely mad when there’s 2 or more love interests and then one gets the mc out of a coin toss (and also based only the author’s own opinion) and damn near most times, the second ml in those types is much more liked by the audience than the final ml. manwhas like “today the villainess has fun again” usually have the “reverse harem” trope, but don’t actually have the reverse harem energy, yk? like THIS is much better, u get what u bargain for. if u have so many ml’s like this, why NOT give her all of them? she’s a noble, for god’s sake, that’s extremely normalized, if not be women-led irl, HEY, its a FICTIONAL manwha VAGUELY based on european culture + korean culture, u could basically do whatever u want.
TLDR; MORE ACTUAL REVERSE HAREMS IF ADVERTISED AS ONE!!!

is the uploader’s panel just extremely uncomfortable to anyone or is that just me. like i do NOT want to see a MINOR’s ass on my screen, especially not with a fully grown adult right next to them. the uploader previously did this with other works way back and i guess they’re doing it again but man, it’s just so gross to me.
you know, there was a scene in the original novel (what’s played out in ep. 80 on here) where prince wade shows up with a full grown beard and it was meant to be a little gag abt how it looked but looking back on the actual manwha, i’m actually kind of sad they dropped that and just made him look like what he does. like that’s one of the one things where i read the manwha, ssn 1 of it - this was when it was on hiatus -, and then later read the og novel fully and thought “i wonder how they would do this in the manwha” and it’s sad that they’d just cut that out. its such a small thing but with the scene being so serious and heartwarming, her lil mans is back in town or whatever, and it just being that without any humor makes it almost less dimensional in a way? like i said, it truly is a small thing that was a throw away sentence in the novel, but man was i wishing they’d do something with it.
man, chapter 5 is crazy looking back on with the foreshadowing.. from nux questioning if asperier is making a clone of him from the hair and then the “he needs at least 5 ppl” remark. i’ve reread the beginning chapters a LOT and i just realized what it meant . just really interesting how foreshadowing only becomes apparent after u know what’s being foreshadowed ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

i never read the “about the boss” side story cuz i do not give a FAWK abt that man but with all of these comments, i’m genuinely scared to even think abt reading it… what is that man doing
