I love the slow start and the realistic responses the characters have. When I first read this webtoon I was getting overwhelmed by the number of characters getting introduced every chapter but the author does a really good job in differentiating and having each character have their unique vibe.
I like how they all have their own life, their own goals that they’re working towards and it’s not like a relationship takes up alll their time (as portrayed in some other yaois). We see Ethan’s job as an editor, Jimmy as a voice actor, and the ghosts from their past. They don’t fall in love just like that- we see them go from strangers to acquaintance to friends slowly, like a real relationship.
This author also does a fantastic job in showing us only broken glimpses of their past instead of having everything neatly laid out on a plate. We have to fill in some of the gaps ourselves and it definitely makes the story have a deeper hold on us.
To sum it up I’m loving the developed characters, loving the storytelling, and loving the inclusivity!! I want to applaud the author bc I’m genuinely invested in this story + on the edge of my seat after every chapter! :)
