I really enjoyed this one. Their relationship is so real and it felt like I was watching my friends grow alongside me. I love them so much. Gonna go cry a bucket now
Criminally underrated. The characters are so complex and the relationship dynamics they have with each other is so interesting. I went into this with low expectations, mostly due to the low ratings, but was blown away with how beautifully and carefully the characters were written. Brett is by far one of the most interesting characters I have read so far. His psychopathic tendencies, but also his ability to understand and predict other's emotions and know very well how to manipulate them was really the highlight of this story.
I know my bar isn't very high when it comes to reading mind-numbing stories but this really drew me in. Lol binged it in one sitting.
The beginning was rough as it could be triggering, to the top at least because we know Brett fucking enjoyed that. Manipulative and masochistic little shit. I love him sm he's become one of my fav bottom. Smart, cold and ruthless, but still soft when he needs to be - even if it him just pretending to care or actually genuinely caring, he does have the conscience to show care for others. Which is what made me love his character so much.
All in all, this was a really good read. If you read this far of my review, I say you should give it a chance!
