But now that I've read it I was totally amazed how I'm reading this manga religiously, finishing it in just one day. Damn my eyes hurts, I need a commentary.
First of all, I really like the armor Guts starting to wear. A huge fan of berserker (fate stay series) and also berserker guardian Krusty (log horizon). I'm such a sucker for jaw dropping armors. I had a dream, a dream where Guts one day obtain another cool armor, be it cursed or godly.
Art, the goddamn art style was totally legit, it's like more pen less screentone. And the way the artist draws the monsters goddamn flawless. Be it the structures down to that strangely bizarre behelit egg. I'll not complain if it took him to update slow, I mean look at the goddamn art.
Charaters , Guts at the first chapters was kind of cold but as soon as the story progresses and how he had new comrades, his character is starting to lighten up. With all these tragic past he got, i'll even wonder if it will have a good ending. Let's just pray it wont end with the Bleach route kind of disaster.

Well I'm guessing some ppl are bothered by gore and unusual drawing style, it fits tho so no regrets ╮(￣▽￣)╭
Yeah the gore stuff in this manga is too much but as long as you're into gore and is willing to partake a bit of a SAW bloodbath then ol is gud.
I wouldn't say gore is too much, the story requiers bloodbath and gore is only spicing it up. It's a mess but thats what makes it so awesome (≧∀≦)
I agree, I could take even more gore on it. It's amazing. I like its cruelty, feels real. 'Cuz humanity wants to cover everything up but truth is we are an extremely cruel specie and the real monsters of this world.

The sweet mental tortures of trying to figure out the plot!.. there is indeed very interesting and unexpected plottwist... i was so courious and gave up on manga scanlation some time ago and i read the drama cd... just be prepared for something interesting ;)
That scene where his bf was with a girl reminds me of Blue neighborhood trilogy.
