I see people mad at the comments about the "feels like embracing a woman" and want to reaffirm it's a MISTRANSLATION! The original says "こんな体でほんとに女抱いてたのかよ..." which actually means "With a body like this, you really used to fuck women?" so he's basically saying uke is too uke, he never compared him to a woman and I have no idea how they mistranslated it so badly.

wasted potential because of good art but weak writing. i know it's hard to excel in both skills, but there's no plot device as bad as the misunderstanding which stems from NOTHING. they were close friends, yet uke just assumed he was dating a girl based on random people chatting about it??? when seme never mentioned her supposed girlfriend to you? why not just ask him? and then 8 years later to assume he'd still be with the girl when he clearly is into you is just woah... stupid. i really dislike weak willed ukes who give up this easily.

i actually shed a tear for the emperor and touka... the emperor looked truly warm and bright. but i feel like their love is just doomed, we don't even know if it was ever reciprocated to begin with. touka controls and puppeteers a whole empire for the slim chance his beloved might come back to him. it's just so sad ( T﹏T ) where's he going at the end of chapter 8?
this reminds me soo much of usual shoujo tropes, it's kinda rare to see in a bl manga. the very innocent pure hearted lead x traumatized brooding love interest who pushes the other away until they realize they fell deep in love XD
Just to let everyone know: this manga has been licensed by Yen Press, official title being "If It's You, I Might Try Falling in Love", and naturally the scan group won't be continuing their translation. Volume 2 releases on August 26th, with a gap of 5 months from the first volume. As such, we should expect Volume 4 to come out 10 months from now, around June of 2026.
