Lol, I think he's actually a pretty cool character and he's better than the other rivals, I mean, they were just losers. The glasses guy who liked Aoi got together with Shuu's sister(Like wtf, bro?) and the other one just gave up. So a new rival entering makes it better, plus he's actually in love with her, despite having so many girls after him(Kinda makes you wanna cheer him on, right..no? okay..) So, even if it it getting dragged, it's still a good story. I mean if it wasn't then you could complain bout it
