This just explained on how when you have a very fucked up life, been physically abused, gaslighted, and manipulated by someone you think is your 'family' and that you have to please them by sacrafising your happiness just for theirs for years, and now that you're happy it doesn't mean that your fucked up life is erased because that person is still there. For me he seemed like he had a bit of paranoid pd, schizotypal pd, & dependant pd.
