Even though I do hate the actions of the uncles and auntie, I can't help but think that it was because the grandfather was overshadowing them and only focusing on the the youngest or is it just me.

But I get the grandfather. Raising a company from the bottom to top just to be run by incompetents is heart breaking. He worked hard almost all his life just to get to where they are now just to be inherited by his children that would likely make his company bankcrupt in the future. Even if they're educated if they don't have a skills and attitude he's looking it will be end in failure.
I undestand where people are coming from about the grandfather being the main cause as to why all four is “incompetent” in inheriting his business but I feel like his position holds a lot of value and heavy responsibility. I do think while his method of finding an successor is harsh but the reality is one mistake can literally ruined a years worth of hardship and effort, so i feel his justified to ignore them since its shown that he already gave them enough resources and time to prove themselves.
Nah it's the jealousy. Instead of trying to become better they were jealous and licking the boot of their father to gain more power. That's why he's angry. If he didn't give any chances like Mr. Son he would have kicked them out a long time ago. He gave a lot of chances, a lot of advice but they didn't realize it. That's it.

Hmmm.....well for me, this wouldn't have happened if they were guided well when they were young so that even if they grew up incompetent, they could still support each other as siblings instead of fighting that may lead to conspiracy and murder but it seems like in this kind of conglomerate family, they just let their children fight like it's some kind of survival for the fittest. It's no different from the ancient era wherein familial love doesn't exist in the royal family. They can kill their siblings for the throne. I don't know if it's really happening in reality in Korea but since dramas and novel is something observed from reality with a little twist, I think that perhaps there really is something like that though I haven't heard of any or just that I don't really pay attention especially that I'm not Korean and only cares about their kdramas and kpop, anything outside that, I don't really care
