ohmygod. I dont know where to start but as much as I want Jungkwon and Kangjin to end up together, I think the ending we got is the best for all of them.
So first of all, just reading the summary I already fell in love w Kangjin and Jungkwon. I really thought, no matter how much the angst is, that they will end up together. I even make myself believe that as soon as Chisoo shows his love for Kangjin, the way Chisoo changed is that Kangjin will never fall in love w him but nah! ╥﹏╥
Chisoo might be a soulless human being but when it comes to Kangjin its true that he loved him. When he said at the temple he cant love Kangjin but then he want him to stay w him, i just dont know what kind of nonsense he's saying because the evil Chisoo definitely and already fell to Kangjin a long time ago. But when he begged that one time. Shit! It hurts. He begged that he wont hurt Jungkwon and not see him just for Kangjin to stay by his side... ghad I so feel his love. But then, in the end its not like that typical gangster stories where main characters who where gangsters/yakuza that still have a way out. With Chisoo's case he seems to have no way out. But maybe if Kangjin continued to stay with him, maybe, maybe? There is a chance? Honestly for me he deserved to be loved back by Kangjin. But then again, no matter how two people love each other, some things really just got in the way for them to not be together. Plus for me, Kangjin asking Chisoo to throw away everything in a snap is so naive. I understand theyre dealing w k!lling, murdering people but Chisoo's a gangster. And notorious at that! Isnt he just asking for too much?

Anyway, now to Roah... i dont known i thought he'll be another hateful character but he's just another lost soul. I really feel sorry for him when Jungkwon broke up w him. When I read that ep I just thought, Jungkwon is such a heartbreaker and trauma giver to people who loves him ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ Still, jungkwon's honesty and definitely his encouragement to Roah is such a beautiful scene. When he said, "lets not give up our lives. Our love and continue to fight..." whatever just somewhere along those lines. Thats definitely such a beautiful moment. And yes, Roah baby. Happiest Birthday. Im praying you will get out of the dark side as soon as you can. And I pray you found someone who can treasure and love you as you.
And now back to Jungkwon and Kangjin baby. Im actually so emotional writing this all. I dont know if im crying because they ddnt end up together, i dont know if im crying because i feel so much pain w how Chisoo hyung got his heart broken when all hes been is sweet and good to Kangjin (But hes never a good person so maybe thats really his karma too)... I dont know if this tears were caused by how mature Kangjin and Jungkwon accept that theyre love already ended. Jungkwon doing his own monologue at the final scene at the beach... Oh well all in all, im just happy Jungkwon was able to got back on his feet. That Kangjin is learning and decided to love himself and all of them is moving forward.
Some people may not like this story nor doesnt like the complexity of each characters but in my case this is such a beautiful story thay captures my heart. I love this story so much I will NEVER EVER EVER re read this again. This being too realistic for me and the angst just dont help w me in real life where everything's already a mess too.
Btw ... Yeonho deserves an award to keep Kangjin, Jungkwon and himself being killed by Chisoo lol hes really the mvp on those moments when our 2 mcs runaway
And noooow, i need a fluff... i cant continue get depressed w this lovely, precious but painful manhwa. I thought this is a happy ending fvck! (Please excuse me, my happy ending is when two MCs end up together) grrrr (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

Anyway, if i read this its much better if I just reread for the nth time the UnderGrand Hotel instead.
They have an adorable child by the end LIKE AAA, Iri is not actually a hitman but a black agent, Kiyo I can’t say he’s a damsel in distress but he does get a lot of help from Iri to move on, get out a prison bc he was wrongfully accused and he becomes stronger person but seriously THEIR CHILD IS SO CUTEEE
