The people saying Shizuma is toxic is being ridiculous. It's his job, he just got out of school and is newly hired and a time demanding job. It's understandable that things come up, as long as he explains himself that's fine. Like some of you are not working adults and it shows
The issue here isn't Shizuma, it's Minato and even then I don't want to blame Minato. It's more so his insecurities and trauma which is making things difficult. He needs to work on that since it's very well messing with Shizuma's work which he worked and studied so hard for. I appreciate the sentiment (though don't agree with) of finding a new place to work but I loved it more when Minato said it wouldn't change anything and acknowledging his issues.
They're both flawed but it's not anyway near "toxic". Ya just be throwing the word around without really thinking.

Saying the issue isn’t Shizuma is not exactly right. He definitely needs to work on setting boundaries but I get that it’s not easy to do. And he’s admitted that he doesn’t realize things until told. So it’s also communication issues. Minato is definitely more intense, due to his trauma like you said. They’re both human beings so I don’t get why people act as if both are toxic…this is bound to happen if one partner is busy with work and the other has abandonment issues.
Overtime and abandonment issues never go well unless they discuss this together.

I am not trying to say the issue is Shizuma alone but all of this combined together: His lack of boundaries, talking about his personal life at work/delaying work for cafe eating with boss, Minato’s trauma and insecurities of being abandoned, the boss, and work.
I hope once he graduates as intern or something, he gets a more fixed schedule.

How did the Evron grand duchy even survive in the original timeline with these shenanigans. I know that the catalyst for the current events was brought on by the MC but if the duchy was as naive and ignorant back then as they are now, it's a wonder the MC or her brother hadn't wiped them out already
