this story was VERY interesting at first but now it’s very boring. it’s focusing on the wrong story of the aspect, too much filler like content. i wouldn’t have minded if there’s a balance (50% idol life, 50% backstory and plot advancement) but were on chapter 67 and nothings been happening. this would’ve been better if it was an anime or a kdrama.
i was having so much fun reading the manhwa at first and as much as i love slow burns, this is too much. i feel like this would’ve been better if it was anime or even a kdrama. there’s no progress with the story and no development for the story. often times i ask myself, why am i reading this manhwa?
i’m confused are we getting a new male lead or is it going to be the same guy from her previous life?
his fucking mother is gonna do something bad to him, i just know it! but i also want to see how rishar reacts
i don’t mind that the story is a cliche. it’s super fun and the art is very beautiful. plus hale is so
look. we all want the greenest of green flags and riftan may not be it but he’s trying. y’all need to remember and understand that riftan has never been in a relationship before, and has never been surrounded by women so he doesn’t know what to do. add to the fact that he comes from an era of misogyny. i’m not saying i excuse riftan but i am showing that he’s trying to change but he doesn’t know how.
he and maxi come from different worlds and he doesn’t know how to reach her level so he says stupid things. and because he doesn’t know about her childhood, he does and say stupid things. but i assure you, if he had known, he wouldn’t be saying any of those things.
also, i understand why he’s being overprotective and frustrated with maxi. to him, because he doesn’t know her past, she’s a sheltered girl who doesn’t have any real life experience, especially when it comes to combat. in the novel, it’s mentioned that maxi was always sickly so it makes sense he worries. she is naive to a fault and she nearly died helping others. which is very noble of her but very reckless as well.
as for maxi, because she wants to save face and prove herself as an equal to riftan, she is too scared to properly communicate with her husband. she goes above and beyond to prove her worth even though riftan constantly reminds her not to. even when he reassured her that he has no feelings towards the princess and he only loves her. but jealousy isn’t easy.
the story focuses on miscommunication, self discovery and self independence. and since it’s a slowburn, it’s going to be very frustratingly slow until it gets enjoyable.
riftan isn’t a red flag. maxi isn’t dumb. they’re just living a new life together and trying to make things works. relationships aren’t always about having happy moments. arguments are normal especially if you can reconcile. this story is very realistic and i’m enjoying it a lot
this is a long ass slow burn without much development. i understand that that’s how slow burns work but the fact that the mc isn’t even trying to figure out anything about the idol is just boggling.
does he want to remain as an idol and live life leisurely? does he want to actually die and finally rest in peace? does he want to tell the bodyguard the truth?
im upset at how slow the story is moving but im still going to read it.
i really really like this story but it’s getting boring as of late. too many characters, too many complicated names. i don’t know. i want to continue but i don’t know what i’m reading anymore and the slow updates is making me forget the plot.
