The kid looks depressed and lonely so I think hanging with Nagi would make him happy as well as allow Nagi more spirit interactions. Like maybe he moves in with Nagi, like they do say it's dark at the bottom of ocean so it must be dark the bottom of the lake. Why is that surprising? Where is the rule that a dark spirit can't be happy?
