But isn't it mandatory for him to join the military in Korea for 2 years
Why is she blaming him for something he cant control?

Except he didn't think his dad would hit a girl. Why didn't the sister write and say, "I'm being hit." Why didn't she go to the cops with bruises (there's a tendency to think it's worse to hit daughters than sons, so she would have gotten sympathy). It's just easier to blame Craig and Craig likes to blame himself. He was getting beaten, he was working, he was going to school--boy didn't have enough to eat even. I'm amazed he didn't kill himself.

she's still a kid, what do we expect and a girl on top of that. she didn't have anyone else to turn to except craig, that's why she's so mad. im not defending her and i didn't blame craig either. im just trying to get myself to understand from author pov of his sister situation because i think the amount of hate her character is receiving are unnecessary ●_●

I get the "why" she's angry. But it is still a situation where she did not think enough about what Craig went through. He assumed WRONG about his father, and she assumed wrong about Craig. And both of them made the mistake of not going to the authorities ASAP and refusing to return with Father. I don't hate Theo. I've been frustrated with her only seeing her own situation and not Craig's. The guy was gonna get killed by loan sharks and all she's thinking about is school fees. Really?
Communication. You almost never see that in manga. So precious
