It's probably important for them to put a disclaimer out before they start. I don't know if you've never encountered it before, but stealing scanlation jobs from others/retranslating scanlations can cause serious issues. I've seen entire groups disband or disappear because of conflict. It's a bit hard for a single person to take on, so just in case someone from the original scanlation group finds this, they're covering their bases as much as possible.
