I guess it depends, if you feel something off but they’re really happy sometimes they might not listen because they’re really good in the relationship at that point, and it might make you seem like you’re bitter about it even if you’re coming from a place of concern. I usually don’t say anything unless I have solid proof so they have to see the reality, but most of the time they figure it out and I support them which whatever they choose

yea ur definitely right. if i do say smth its mostly likely gonna be a long time after i noticed, just so i could take note of more things. but telling ur friend definitely depends on you and ur friend. they might to it the wrong way and you might come off as bitter, like you said!

No it does happen in real life
I was in a relationship earlier and the guy was a different story in front of me and a different story behind me. He used to be loyal af when we were together and after a minor inconvenience between us, he'd be all over other girls. my bestie used to go to the same computer centre as him and to say he had his crushes there is an understatement. He would flirt and all with those girls.
So after we broke up (fortunately) (for a whole different reason), my bestie tells me how downright hopeless he was and how he flirted with those girls whenever we were 'off' and she also said she didn't say things earlier cuz I was happy... Like..
