I hope he doesn't get redeemed like other horrible "fathers" who refused to embody the name. How can they claim to be fathers when they weren't even there for their child! Failed at their one job!
It doesn't even phase me anymore but I honestly don't understand why ppl who are bothered by step siblings rofan still read these when it's obviously in the title and summary?? What are you expecting when it's tagged, outlined and in bold?
I saw the cover and title and marked it as "to read". I only read the description when I'm about to read it and I thought the plot would be BEFORE the characters are born. Incest was not the first thing that came to mind

He's actually protecting him bc they were failed experiments. And he actually killed off all the others before ML swooped in. Personally would've let him die. ogML was next and continued to be abused by him all these yrs poor kid

ML's brother is the evil scientist experimenting with immortal life. Initially got into it bc ML was often sick as a kid. That's why they're hundreds of yrs old. ML only took in Gilbert and ogML to protect them from his brother.
As for the contract, FL actually time travels to the past and meets kid ML. He later makes the contract after seeing her ancestors iconic pink hair. Later, he got tired and jaded and forgot about it.
