Honestly, it’s a really sweet story, I just wish they put more effort into creating suspense with the characters and more detail in the novel as a whole. It touches on heavy topics like racism, classism and slavery, but the pacing makes the issue seem so unserious at times.Most of the The art is gorgeous, but, to me, there’s just something a little off about the faces. I dunno, I might just be a little bit picky. Anyway, it was a sweet read, not something I’d give an arm and a leg for, but something I’d read to wind down after a long day. It kind of reminds me of a different story, but that one was Omegaverse.
