so basically philip and his ancestors have been the doctors of hue's family and they know how procreation works in the family. basically incest to have a boy child, and if someone with taran blood has sex with a normal person, to have kids with them they need to have this mugwort situation thingi, basically their period stops and then they're given the medication and they can have girl children (i can't recall the whole technical stuff sorri,,, i hope someone else would explain that better) basically what philip wants is the bloodline to continue so he hopes giving lucia the medication can make the duke have a daughter,, lucia and hue do have a daughter later on but hue kills philip and the bloodline won't continue with the whole incest stuff,, damian and evangeline (their daughter) are brought up as siblings (as they should be) :D
