I think "Gantz" fits it? Not sure if it counts as game, but it's basically, they're supposed to go on missions, kill aliens and survive. It's god damn amazing and the main character, Kei, is sort of a piece of shit in the beginning, but the character development just makes everything A+ Darwin's Game is also pretty good.
