Is the dad pushing him towards marriage to Alicia so he has his own territory to rule over? Just curious as to what decision he’s telling him to make? I do sympathize with the father, b/c here both brothers seem decent enough… though I do recall some spoiler comments previously about how the one that can’t use a sword being a real dick to Vlad etc. any novel readers that can confirm??

The story telling is so good! Really sympathetic for our boy! Personally if I were ever reincarnated in the murim/jianghu and had even a sliver of talent I’d pick joining the heavenly demonic cult every time! From what I’ve read, they are ruthless but don’t go around slaughtering innocents for no reason, (though every group has bad apples) and the alliance (good guys) always seem either corrupt or too nice to a fault, hella dangerous and the evil faction is well plain evil.
Why they wanna see Dad? Guess in his past life he was dead at this point.. also what did I mention as about baby Stella? Why is everyone so concerned for her? Didn’t Logan say her rejecting the priest blessing wasn’t necessarily bad? Did something else happen?? Do y’all know spoilers? Spoil me please!!
My theory abt baby Stella is that the super concentrated aphrodisiac made out of Monster meat had an effect on why she immune to divine blessings

Fell 10 chapters behind, and man, this is just pure comedy gold!! When I feel myself feeling bad for the serfs, I remember the innocents they killed and serving demons/worshiping the devil was a CHOICE! They weren’t forced or taken over like the dad.. so yea go kill giants ya serfs!!
Seriously, reminds me of how I have NO sympathy/mercy towards a drunk driver that kills someone… they made the choice while SOBER to drive themselves to bar etc!! (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
And of course it’s believable that a 20 something virgin boy would be smitten right away, most stuff he does ends up leading him where he needs to be, so as much as I wish he’d focus on grandpa… I don’t think it’s realistic thinking for him!

Duke wasn’t some misunderstood guy, he wasn’t someone who only took his rivalry w/ jiwoo too far… He was a literal MONSTER! He betrayed all his classmates in the worst way, (that’s when he lost all my sympathy!) wasn’t that he simply switched side to the frame.. oh no, before the big ‘competition’ between the school and the frame he sold out all his old classmates, shared all their secrets, powers and fighting techniques… leading to many being murdered, crippled etc. Author lost a arm, that white haired girl lost an eye. Ch.240 (and most of THOSE kids weren’t exactly evil, more so selfish snobs who quickly thought differently when jiwoo showed them different.) He was about to murder that dude w/the big cat before jiwoo showed up.

Then he betrayed Schneider by running around scheming with spike collar dude, betrayed the frame in general by killing one of them outside jiwoos room with the hope it’d get jiwoo killed!
To the commenters saying poor duke Schneider never cared about him… well DUH! He only became his disciple b/c he BETRAYED everyone he knew including his own family.. You’d have to be a FOOL to trust/respect/care for someone like that… duke was a tool to him from the jump! If you betray everyone for me, you’ll eventually betray me too! (And he did!) Duke didn’t suffer enough IMO! (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
Anyway that’s the end of my rant. Everyone is allowed to feel what they feel, but makes me wonder what else would a person need to do for you to not feel bad for them!
I know! I had such high hopes for that little F'er. But after he tried to kill Cain (his so-called bestie) I gave up on him too. And then he took Arthur's arm and I began to loathe the little bastard. It's a shame that he cldn't be a rival that wld push Jiwoo to up his speed (and vice versa). So, yah, I'm with u on the no sympathy for Duke train!
