I’m really loving this so far, but I get a bit irritated with Heena’s excessive humbleness. I honestly find characters that needlessly undervalue their labor/services really annoying. She has a unique and irreplaceable skill that has a major positive impact on powerful awakeners. A filthy rich awakener made her a reasonable offer for her services that he considered fair, but she refused and did the same thing for a fraction of his offer instead. He can easily afford to pay her even twice what he initially offered. It just seems like a very foolish and sheltered thing to do. She just lost everything she owned so realistically she would be trying to save up for stuff she lost and her new magic house expenses. It doesn’t come across as generous or humble because she’s making this deal with a millionaire who is happy to pay her even more than his initial offer, rather than an average person who would struggle to afford a high fee. It’s such a ridiculous mentality, like she turned down a profit because she only wants to be breaking even on her side hustle.

Well considering she lives her whole life up until now as a civilian, habits realistically can't die easily, and she's surrounded by elites of the company so I can feel her humbleness in front of the boss. Especially since she doesn't know the full potential of her power so being arrogant in the beginning will just not sound right, and her humbleness and politeness is what carried her throughout this story ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~
It’s not even a matter of arrogance though. Do people in Korea not negotiate their salary? You don’t need business education at all to be smarter than Heena though. I get being nervous and not wanting to ask for more to your boss or someone in power, but she literally negotiates DOWN. Even if she didn’t realize the worth of her abilities, several world renowned experts have told her at this point. Most people would have just taken his offer (that has no concerning strings attached either). He’s the one who wants her and he came up with an offer that was reasonable in his eyes. It wasn’t even a matter of her knowing a secret that could make performing the job difficult, feeling guilty, or anything that would make sense. Heena’s actions make her seem foolish and unrelatable. There are very few places on the world where civilians don’t have to work hard to keep themselves financially stable. In this scenario, society is unstable from dungeons, so there are fewer jobs available if you get fired or need to quit. On top of that, she recently lost everything she and her brother owned. She has no concept of saving for an emergency or anything like that. Her behavior makes no sense at all in a normal context, but through the lens of her world and personal situation, it’s even more ridiculous.
Well, she did have a savings for emergency as what she told us when she was cleaning her studio, and working in a company that prioritize hunter more on civilian, her being a support awakener is helpful for them. And as she gets into the company by a recommendation of her unnie, it makes sense that she doesn't want to cause trouble as 'to not stain her unnie reputation', but I get what your talking about that her potential is high than what she knows but by looking as her shoes/situation, her power only manifest recently and it gives her random skills at random times at random places/situtations but at least in this chapter 26 she can have high salary since she's only gonna take care of one person, people personality dont change suddenly, well maybe in the future she might encounter a situation that might slightly change her personality a little bit ╮(￣▽￣)╭
Jaehyuk is getting what’s coming to him. He treated Garam with zero respect, like he was disposable and is SHOCKED when Garam no longer wants to be near him. He thinks he has feelings now, but he’s still essentially the same as in the beginning. He thinks he likes Garam romantically, but he still doesn’t give a singular shit about what Garam wants or his actual happiness. He even admitted that his main goal in winning him over with a new look/approach is so that he will be able to sleep with him. He’s mad that his convenient sex toy is no longer doing what he wants, but his “affection” is nowhere near genuine. Jaehyuk is still solely focused on what he wants, the goal just changed a little. Anything he wants supersedes Garam’s wants, feelings, needs, and well being in Jaehyuk’s mind and he just doesn’t get how narcissistic and delusional he is.
Agree 100%. Jaehyuk has gone through this whole plot wanting to have all the benefits he’s used to as a straight man but wanting to fuck around with a gay man that expressed from the beginning that he wasn’t interested. Not to mention he’s homophobic as hell and is shaming Garam for being gay while also himself being at the very least bisexual.
“Psychological” tag in anything with sex in it almost always just means abuse. Kind of annoying tbh. It’s usually not complex, it’s just traumatic for the main character with not much thought behind the plot itself or developments within relationships

I understand where you’re coming from, but I was very clear that I wasn’t speaking directly to the contents of this comic. I was commenting on the inaccuracy of the “psychological” tag in my experience. That tag usually means that the comic will have severe abuse and trauma, rather than complex or intellectual psychological developments throughout. The tag is misused, and has become a warning for toxic comics, rather than an indicator of what it’s describing. When I see any comic with that tag I look in the comments to see whether it’s just a cesspit of violence and toxicity. I was just venting because I like psychologically complex comic, but overuse of that tag makes it hard to find them. It’s also upsetting to start a comic with high hopes only to immediately see gratuitous SA or violent abuse with no deeper plot relevance.
Can’t say I disagree cuz I like actual psychological works too (books are way better for this than manga will ever be). Wondering tho, what else would this abuse/toxicity genre be called then? Imo even tho these themes are low hanging fruit, they do fit since the plots driven by the characters strong, twisted emotions
Just tag them with “abuse”, “toxic”, “SA”, “trauma” etc…. It’s better to know up front so you’re emotionally prepared for a dark read, or informed enough not to start. Or follow the trend of booktok and go with “dark romance”. Books are definitely better for psychologically complex themes of course, but it’s always nice to stumble across a well written comic.
I didn't think too much when I started read a new story and lower my IQ so I won't feel anything. Screw that, I always read without reading the tags and wait for some surprises. However, I agreed most of the psychological story is very dark and has some triggering elements to it.

He still doesn’t care about what Garam needs or wants, just that he needs him to like him so he’ll be willing to have sex with him again. It’s more emotional manipulation to obtain sex than an actual crush.
Sorry I don’t care what “character development” he gets later, the top abused his authority as a cop to destroy Mokhwa’s (who is trying to live a clean and law abiding life after getting out of prison) products, steal from him, physically assault, and rape him literally for shits and giggles at their very first meeting. He is a black flag and scum of the earth. He even looks back and savors how distressed and traumatized Mokhwa seemed as he was violating him. I’m not interested in whatever miserable development happen from here. It’s clear that mr. Police officer is far more of a sadistic psychopath than the ex gangster ever was. Not interested in this toxic bs.

MC is so pathetic and self centered. He doesn’t have any redeeming qualities that make him interesting or compelling either. The plot is solely driven by mc ignoring the opinions and needs of everyone around him and them just going along with it for some ridiculous reason. This grown man is so lazy that he makes another man carry him around so he doesn’t have to walk because he “just doesn’t have any motivation”. Then he latches onto the romantic interest and forces him to go along with his whims because he’s magically the only thing in twenty years that makes him want to do anything productive. Don’t waste your time.
I am so tired of this trope. It’s always a situation where every single member of the mc’s family have neglected, ignored, and shown complete disinterest in them, but magically start caring after a sudden behavioral change caused by an isekai swap or time jump. It’s always the same formula. MC is neglected/abused/isolated from birth, inevitably resulting in behavioral/personality issues, which allows family, fiancée, and society to further judge and ostracize the mc, feeding into a loop of of poor behavior. Cue the isekai or resurrection moment. New (or post revelation) mc obviously changes their behavior to avoid death flag, recoup their reputation, and/or become independent. They have some clever insights they use to solidify their position or bargain for freedom, which inevitably catches the eye of their family/fiancée who all suddenly can’t bear the thought of living without mc. And then the excuses. They’re so sorry for the neglect, it was just that they were bad at communication, or misunderstood some bs, or we’re going through a lot, etc.. Just once, I would like the mc to actually make a clean break from everyone who failed them.

It sucks, but when you reincarnate, you have to apologize for your new body’s previous actions. MC suddenly going from a miserly perv to nice and caring makes no sense. Anyone would be suspicious. He should have started with a sincere apology if he wants to get anywhere. It’s not rocket science.
