Josh's definitely a womanizer or at least a big flirt in his younger days. I haven't read the others novels because I don't like those characters but maybe I'll give the Grayson one a try because Josh is a side and kinda important character there.

I'm so glad I waited for the right state of mind to read this.
From the first chapter this was going to be dark and twisted but it's so good in terms of plot, character development and pacing. It's rotten and doesn't glorify the terrible acts the characters are exposed to or do. Rape, trauma, injuries, mind control, manipulation, an unreliable narrator... this has everythig. Many times I found myself not believing what I was reading and at the brink of frustration. I hated it, I love it. This reminds me so much of Mizushiro Setona's writing style in the form that it makes me feel empty and not able to trust anyone but then... a ray of hope... or not. Pure realistic portrait of the complexities of human emotions.
We knew he was big but... damn. Ryan never stood a chance since the beginning.
Not even mention the rape because it was expected. Enzo's no gentleman nor a sane guy. He's a criminal (mafioso), a sadist (probably) and he wants to submit Uno's will and body like a bird in a cage. One that can survive his violent desire.
So he wanted to show off or end things quickly. Or both. He's talented but that vice in bigger than anything else.

But he's kind of an airhead too so he could have just forgotten and just focused in his revenge.

He married my mother but he never wanted to be a father. He never told her that so by the time I was born, I'm the sencond and last child, they just drifted apart and he just disappeared from our lifes, but never divorced. When my mom died many years later, some relatives got in contact with him on facebook and he went to the funeral. He tried to explain us his pov and how he felt about not wanting to have kids but that he loved our mother and gave in, but he was already a stranger. He gave up his rights to the inheritance my mother left as some kind of peace sign but we didn't care because we found that he had another family, not an official one, before he met and married my mother. And he had 3 children already and he didn't want more. My mom never knew.
To this day he still tries to have some relationship with us even after the true came out. I think is because he's old and afraid to be alone lol

Actually we were mad at the relatives who shared a private funeral invitation on facebook, which was seen by my father's relatives and they told him about it. Well, he even has grandchildren so we don't need or want to take care of him but because we are the 'legal' ones, he feels entitled to have some kind of contact with us (phonecalls, messages). And I think my brother's was more hurt than I was because he was 5 years old when he left so he remembers things more clearly than I do (I was a few months old). And my mother, whose partner bail on her without much of an explanation. Luckily, her family was there for her.
We always say that we only had one parent, only one mother, who was everything to us. He can hug a tree if he feels lonely.

There are women who will date men don't want marriage or kids hoping to change their mind. There are men who will date women who WANT marriage or kids hoping to change their minds. They think love will make their partner compromise...
That said, can u apply for some kind of financial alimony thing? If u pay a certain amount (as directed by the court) as parental alimony, then u are not legally bound to have anm any relationship with that person.
There are quite a few cases where I live...the kids have basically abandoned their parents (for reasons) but as long as they pay the alimony on time, then don't need to be physically around. Even medical rights/POA can be signed over to an independent executor.
Maybe you should look into it. Give some money to make the problem go away
