There’s something wrong with the way Japanese authors always make the ML a playboy asshole while the FL is a virgin, and she ends up with him as her first relationship. They also make it seem like cheating is a normal thing.
AND seriously the ml is an asshole nd I don’t care if he’s a psycho but I don’t like the fact he slept with that girl especially HER bc he was saying he loves the fl but then does it like there’s no problem. this is no way of defending japanese culture. however id like to point out that 'cheating' is apparently fine for japanese people. on paper and outside its a sin, but if kept within blinds, its almost like its a natural thing to do. you'd be surprised at how kany japanese people think cheating is normal. a lot of taboo or uncomfortable western or other views besides japanese, are weirdly normal in japan. it's sad, really

However, technically he wasn’t really cheating because they weren’t together and when they started dating we didn’t see him with an other girl (which is no excuse).
But it reflects the concept of “cheating” in Japan. I think I saw a street interview, where Japanese where saying if you don’t hold any feeling for the person you sleep with, and that the girl you love (because yeah, even without feelings it’s only accepted for men) doesn’t know, all his good. The men where like, I need to have fun (same level as going to karaoke) and I don’t love the girl so no problems. And the women for the majority, to my surprise, were like if he cames back and doesn’t love her, and because I love him, everything is acceptable, because they need it…..kinda messed up I think…
He’s stupid and his ex is crazy. I don’t think this will be some fluffy romance she will cling to him and try to ruin the relationship between the FL and ML in the future. the ml might do something stupid like running back to her and this will break fl heart. i don’t like this. all this drama and we haven’t even seen the fl ex’s side. is he innocent or jerk?
