Reading or writing something that’s considered messed up in real life does not mean you support or would do it. Is everyone who reads crime fiction a serial killer? Or the author?
That’s a poor analogy. Because those writer’s aren’t romanticizing murder. It’s completely acceptable to write stories involving rape. However we already live in a world that for the most part rape is not taken seriously to begin with. We continue to have men/women who are unable to report their vicitimization due to peer pressure, familial pressure, societal pressure, and our own government regulations. We have false accusations that deligitizimes actual rape cases and is used to vilianize actual rape accuser rather than their rapists. We have apologist rhetoric in all forms of our media or word of mouth; “ well what were they wearing?”, “she shouldn’t have drank so much anyway”, “guys can’t get raped”. “In Sudan a young 11 girl will be sentenced to death for “murdering” her 42 yr old husband”, “Hopeful Olympian , colleg student Brock Turner will receive community service for raping an unconscious woman behind a dumpster” this is the world we physically live where headlines like this are normalized. If your escapism is reading about a happy version of one the most violent and cruelest forms of degredatation in a genre that romanticizes and glorifies rape as a tool for love I don’t even want to know what you consider a fun vacation would be. You can enjoy rape fantasies all you want in your porn, for many the point is the lack of control and domination that is appealing, I can understand that completely. What I don’t understand is saying that being raped,assaulted, or abused because it just so happens to be a drawing makes it any less impactful than the real act it presents, when our own reality doesn’t even cares about its impact to its victims. Apologizing for a fictional character being raped may not be the same as an actual person being raped of course that’s without saying, but if you can create conditions as to why this rape is perfectly fine for your viewing pleasure understand that these are the same conditions being applied to actual real life people. If you can’t understand then you shouldn’t be lecturing people about their common sense and ability to separate life and fiction.

As the story progresses, as in other yaoi stories where there's rape, the uke will fall in love with the seme because of his personality, not the fact that he raped him. I think you must search up the meaning of 'romanticizing rape' when it's not the rape that makes them fall in love.
