Maybe bc not everything is restarting. I think the ml is the only thing staying the same, that might also be why he's the only person that remembers everything. Or it could just be the authors choice to do that.
I think it might be a form of punishment? I've read a theory (???) that ml had a part in making the zombie virus and he's regressing every time mc dies as a punishment but idk

I was glad for a moment when Dan explained how he worked and bought the keychain himself so there was no misunderstanding on that part BUT the asshole’s reaction was as expected still the worst.
