I highly recommend reading both versions. I first read this when the unofficials were ongoing, and am re-reading now with the officials. I love the refreshed art on the official one, but there were also scenes cut out from the unofficials, that I also enjoyed

Somehow, i liked the delivery of Song Liqing's lines here better than in the novel. I felt it more? But for most everything else, the novel was more detailed.
For example, it explains that the burn mark is a permanent brand of being a criminal or smth.

I started reading this hoping we would get actual revenge, but set my expectations low as.. yknow.. they usually fall in love and have their sort of happy ending anyways. It might be that or it might be a curveball manhwa with a twisted ending, idk
