Why are people allergic to romance anyway? As long as the story doesn't become too focused on the romance, what's wrong with it?

Romance or straight romance? Most people who are blatantly bashing the girl, wishing she' should die are bl lovers. And it's a tendency in some BL lovers to hate on the female in straight romance. The scenario would've been different if it was a bl. I mean look at ORV. ORV and Solo leveling are the same genre. But most ORV fans ship Dokja and Jonghyuk even though there's no romance. It's comment sections are full of their ship comments. But in the other hand, people hate Chae-in for even existing and complain about Jinwoo ever getting married because it's taking the action away even though their romance played no role in the story whatsoever. Why the different treatment? There's nothing wrong with not liking romance, but if their accounts are full of BL manhwas and then they come here and complain saying 'we don't like romance at all' only because it's a female is not very kind. Including romance doesn't mean this won't be an action/horror manhwa anymore. As long as the girl doesn't become an obstacle for the story, the romance can be ignored instead of wanting the girl to die because she might become a potential romantic interest.
First of all, Solo leveling has romance and ORV ships aren't canon. Kim and Jonghyuk's bond is so special and precious to read that even people who don't read bl can't help but ship them. Secondly, people have their preferences, who are you to lable and judge them? Thirdly, the girl clearly showed romantic interest towards the mc and she's literally a damsel
A damsel in distress. The author made her have characteristics of the very character everyone hates, except the few chosen ones. For your information, I read romance, horror, action, Josei, Yuri, yaoi, shonen, smut or whatever else genre you can think of. However, I still hate her character. People who uploaded the manhwa should have added romance as the genre if the story had it but they didn't so, people who came here hoping for no romance between characters, be it a boy or girl would obviously be disappointed as the cover also had no girl in it. The girl almost showed up in all the chapters except a few of them. Again, people would see her and conclude the story would be focused on romance if she had so many sences in it, no? In simple words, the girl is literally a coward and she's showing signs of being the very obstacle people are afraid of. Hope you understand my words, dear^^

I can recommend really good horror stories with very well written female characters, the problem isn't female character, the problem is this particular kind of female character in this story.

Ironically, I'm one of those haters too because they(including me) kind of know how authors in webtoon end the story with these kinds of characters.
These kind of damsel in distress characters are mainly used as fillers which really ruin the flow e.g when author can't come up with plot, you'll see unnecessary romance in them out of blue that's why there's always a hint of likeness given in the beginning also I'd tell you nobody hates a female character for existing there's always particular kind of character that are there in every webtoon which makes blood boil, I kind of get why some characters are hated.
