After I read the afterword I was kinda lost, so I just kept saying to myself:
It's ok, no one died, just think about their day to day lives, it's ok, they are happy.
Basically, the afterword refers to the original idea I guess?
Ymz probably thought about a plot of which, the other half of the couple died and the other half is reminiscing their life together, author even had the title created for this plot (beards, bells & bubbles, bubbles probably the memories drifting apart), but in the end author said, the characters took a life of their own and the story took a turn into two kindred souls who found each other. I am just so glad it ended that way because I don't know if I can handle the original idea for the plot.

You know, Taylor woke up and told Hawthorne something between the lines: Now we will live happy together.
To this point I was very pleased, but then....Taylor face expression changed. And next to him was text: "scared". And Hawthorne face wasn't clearly showed. There were "the lines to make something dramatic" too.
This all happened while Hawthorne was saying that he agrees.

I was thinking that Reeve was back. Like, the soul contract was the one that keep both the souls of the demon and human in a state of comatose. And by one of them erasing their soul ( aka dying) the other can come back to live. So the demon is gone, but the human is back, with his old face and old personality.
