I have my ear pierced as a baby, but later I add another. I was also scare but I have advice for a good friend. I give that advice to you.
Go to a very clean and safe place, with high reputation and a list of satisfied customers. Ask questions, be safe is you not feel sure about the person who is the one to do the job. Not do it. The cheaper options normally aren't the best.
I went to a tattoo and piercing space in a mall that was a little fancy and a bit expensive, but was totally worth it. The girl who do the job was friendly, she resolve all my doubts and questions without being annoyed by it. She did the job quick and was painless and I follow her advice to clean the area and no signs of infection or anything. Only a bit of inflammation the first 24 hours.

I also want to but I'm also way too scared! And I'm even more scared bcs of what happened to my sister! When she first got her piercings, her ears were fine but they got infected not too long after so she had to switch to earrings which wouldn't worsen her infection (I think they were pure gold?). Afterwards, the hole in her ear ended up closed. So, I guess I would suggest you to be careful when choosing earrings if you ever decide to get them. Make sure you know what your ears are sensitive to so that you don't choose earrings which could infect your wound.

I have 5 earings 2left 3right it really doesnt hurt much its more of a stinging feeling. Just make sure to choose a good piercer ask friends or look for someone with good reviews. For the first months its best to go for earings that are gold or silver only switch your earings when your ears are healed.
Be sure to clean them properly.
When your ear are healed then you switch to cheap earings from claires or something.
Also when you switch to earing made from other metals there is a chance it will hurt your ears. I dont remember what metal it was just look up earing allergy and you will find it. It a common"problem" some people get used to it some dont it happens.
