I think many of you don't realize that the alpha never really learnt how to love or care, his whole life was build on expectations, he himself never got any love from his parents (that affects the growth a lot) so now he desperately tries to keep the omega by his side but he doesn't really know how or what to do, so he used his brain and remembered that the contract between them was for money so he thought the money would take the omega back to him, he also probably didn't learn about relationships cuz he was too busy living to expectations of his parents and probably drained from them, so idk why all of you are calling him stupid, well his actions may look stupid but they have a reason, so I think author wrote the character pretty well and complex
