Jieun being a bitch towards Tia is all an act. After Tia died in the original time line, the prince also murdered Jieun because he was being controled under some magic possession shit by the evil Duke. We find out the prince in fact never loved Jieun but always loved Tia but he was bespelled. Jieun is pretending to be on the Duke's side bc she wants revenge for herself and Tia. She's one hell of an actress though to get everyone pissed off LOL
