I'm not a person with a disability nor am i a person who has visual impairment, so honestly can't really speak on this, buti just wanna say kudos to the author for the respectful representation of a blind person in a historical fantasy story.
I clicked on the manga with low expectations especially with the premise of "horribly disfigured cold hearted duke finds love with pure innocent blind protagonist". I was expecting the story to somehow magic away her disability or she would be coddled like a child by the people around her but I'm soooo glad it didn't go that direction!!!
Like her maid is there to simply assist her and isn't she isn't with the FL 24/7 coddling her.
the ML crafting her a walking cane to further encourage her independence. The way he really thought of what she exactly needs from the length, the comfortable handle, the leather strap and the tinkling just incase she drops it. AAAAHH!!!
I also appreciate how the author portrays, the duke and the staff taking the time to describe to her their surroundings and most especially dictate directions (ie. Turning right to this hall to get to...) , so that she can build like a mental map of her new home and navigate it
