In the novel he found out because of his friend. They were talking on the phone and djx explains to his friends about sangzhi’s type. And his friend said the person sangzhi was talking about was him, however djk doesn’t believe his friend. When his friend explains it to him that sang zhi was the one she was talking about, that’s when he understood that he was the one she likes
