Domesticated animals exist because of humans. And many don't take responsibility of domesticated animals because "it isnt their fault" There are many animals suffering and dying and humans wont take responsibility properly even though they claim themselves the most intelligent beings on the planet. Narssistic assholes most of them. Sure there are people who do care and take care of things but thats minority and while they slowly fix things the rest still wrecks the world we live in.

A lot of times the kittens are weaned off too early from their mother but if we would let them just stay together, after time they will leave their mother themselves to live their own live and in the beginning it's possible that the mother is sad but will quickly forget about it
Also when the kittens meat their mother after some time they won't know it's her BC they can't remember the smell of their original nest and the mother will not recognize her child BC they will smell differen
And what about dogs and other domesticated animals? And people still eat cats and dogs in some countries.
