People are forgetting what period this story is set. This is a patriarchal world, she is facing a PRINCE not some random people. Do you know the consequences of disobeying a prince's order? That asshole is abusing his position and USING Helena to 'hurt' Eris. Don't blame this woman because she can't talk for herself. Eris was raised in modern society while she was raised by a mother who always told her to lower herself in front of others. Just be understanding of her situation.
