i dont remember if the story goes over it butttt does it mention why his mother is such a scumbag?? and i really hope the FL picks up on the abusiveness in like the next chapter so she can beat his mom into oblivion soon

SPOILERS!!!
The stupid reason as to why Karhan’a mother hates him, is bc of his brother. Karhan’s brother has some sort of inferiority complex against him, especially after finding out Karhan’s a natural genius. To not be overshadowed, the brother has been completely making a mess and causing freak accident and ALWAYS blaming it on Karhan ever since they were kids. Of course, the dumb bitch mother believed a rotten spoiled child, and started looking at Karhan in resentment even though he has done nothing wrong. That’s her only reason, it’s bc her other son kept blaming Karhan for doing shit. As an adult, she’s honestly so stupid, she could’ve a proper inspection of every incident caused by the brother, but no, she just goes ahead and believes whatever he says and blames Karhan for everything. She’ll eventually realize the truth, and she even witnesses the brother (he’s crazy af) literally killing her husband, his own dad. During the testimony, she admits to her son doing it, and her being a collaborator, and even announces Karhan as the next Duke. At the end, she tells Karhan she won’t appear in front of him anymore, and went away to the eastern side to live in her parent’s home, before that Karhan calls her mother for the FIRST AND LAST TIME. In the side stories, she lives a monotoned life, but Karhan sends her gifts and souvenirs from time to time. She actually wants to see him again, or write a letter to him, but she doesn’t and thinks getting gifts from him was enough, also bc she thinks she doesn’t have the right anymore.

What's irritating is that she only realizes something's wrong when she saw the son kill the dad. Mind you, things were shitty with the eldest for a while at this point. Heck, the main reason why we don't see him is coz he caused problems when he was high (if I remember correctly). Dude's addicted to drugs and is even the reason why the family is in terrible debt. Hence, the mother pushing her youngest to marry a rich lady, ASAP. I HATE HER SO MUCH.
Such a slap in the face for her when she starts trying to investigate and discovers, WAY TOO FUCKING LATE, that none of their original servants work in the mansion anymore. Long story short, she finds out they've left coz they couldn't handle eldest son's violence and either quit or were fired. WTF. She would have found out earlier if she bothered to ASK AROUND WHEN HER SON WAS BEING ACCUSED OF KILLING ANIMALS. NO, BITCH. YOUR ELDEST DID THAT.

already knew the story was going to be a mindless read when she found her mother's dead body and then proceeded to have a whole ass conversation with character B nonchalantly afterwards, complete with shining background and all

What sane person goes from sobbing and kind of freaking out over seeing their mom's corpse to "lol here's a piece of bread for you" ???
yeah living and dying 100 times takes the meaning out of existence in general, so just omit her crying then. also she doesn't even question who this "cyan" boy is, why he's there, and isn't suspicious of him looking 99% like the male lead. those little things just dont make sense
the story obviously is skipping over logistics to get the plot moving, which is fine - im just pointing out that its going to be one of those stories that aren't going to be super fleshed out in details and most likely will follow some sort of cookie cutter diagram.

well the thing is that this life is different, she regressed and she actually has free will this time, and if at that point her mom was still alive then she would have been able to change her being sentenced to death at the end of all her lives and her dad going insane, but her mom was already dead. still, shes gone through 100 lives of the same thing so obviously she doesn't care about her moms death that much, she was just sad that she had to go down the hard path instead of the easy one where everything would have been solved if her mom was alive. this time she had free will though and there was a chance that she could actually live her life in this life which is why she got over it so fast. she probably didnt question why the cyan guy was there because idk this is the first life where she can actually do things so a lot of things are probably different. you also have to keep in mind that shes not like typical villainess reincarnation main characters who are super smart, technological, and strategic; her only plan is basically to try and stop her dad from going insane. also, she was really suspicious of cyan at first but she checked his eye color. i also don't this this story is fleshed out all that well honestly so idk why I'm writing this paragraph
I have two brain cells and they're both fighting for third place... so sometimes there's a lot of information being told in the story and my brain just short-circuits.
I really do enjoy the fact that this reverse harem reincarnation/isekei trope actually has an original plot. Of course, the amazing art is fantastic as well.
I wonder who the male lead is going to be. I feel like it may be the black-haired Duke?
