I read the novel yall and this asshole gets off wayyy too easy so don't get any of your hopes up for groveling - cause there aint none.
That being said, I have a huge problem with how novels portray their female leads in these scenarios. On one hand, they say she hates this guy, she wants to leave him, she's grossed out, blah blah blah but he's going to 1) harass her until she gives in
2) do one (1) act of "saving" or whateverthefuck and she gives in
3) both 1 & 2

I read the full novel too but I think Ciel's one of the better ones. At the very least he's true to his word that he won't ever make the same mistakes again (๑•ㅂ•)و✧ He gets really pathetic towards her until the end which is hilarious. lmaooo.
I keep seeing others complain how he got off easy, and yep. thats true. but considering the story pace and how we all know it's heading there anyway, i think it's still good.

I like how everyone is heated about the plot line rn lol
My two cents: it was very annoying for me to see the seme talk about his worries and go on a not-date-but-totally-looks-like-it-outing with the director dude/lady instead of idk, his freaking bf??? esp since said boyfriend told him about his parents horrible relationship (that ended in suicide!!) and the seme himself has been cheated on before because of "neglect" or whatever. In short: it's a severe lack of consideration. You can be friendly or extroverted all the time, but think about how your partner would feel or what it would look like to your coworkers/outsider. If it looks sus, then it ain't right.
I just, in general, do not give a fuck about potential third wheel character added for drama and I really hope that after all this there aren't anymore cheap misunderstandings.
On another note, everyone calls thought the Director was a lady but... did his voice not deepen during puberty or???
I cannot believe they went from building a pillow fort for 100+ chapters into kissing just like that. I'm going to faint if we get flashed some ankle LOL.
I also really appreciate that, unlike most other contract marriage stories, these two discussed their affection for each other and then brought up said contract instead of making assumptions!!!
