Honest to God, I'm so used to reading brainless "I left my husband but now he's chasing me" type of stories that anytime they ex-posit information via dialogue in here, I can't understand any of the plot. My question for this chapter is: the Dr. is jealous of Islet.... why? Like she wants to be part of the main family orrrrrr?
One thing I NEVER understand is why shitty characters like Viesel aren't immediately disqualified from taking over as heir when it's super clear that they aren't good enough or are terrible people.
The most obvious choice for heir would be Shannat because Viesel is a waste of oxygen, Gallahan wants nothing to do with the household politics, and Florentia is still very young. Nobody else is really contending for the seat.

I totally agree but also I feel like something that important (Luca's feeling of betrayal from his uncle) should've been written in the novel, even as like a backstory or something he remembers as a lesson.

The shackles were used! At the end of chp. 91 Mia intercepts Pereshati and the box holding the shackles drop to the ground. Theo ends up being the one to put it on Phineas' ankle :)

Sometimes a plot point develops and your mind is blown because it was set up so well and yet you are still taken by surprise - this is not one of those times. This was very random and honestly feels like a turning point added to pad the runtime.
