From reading the novel the ML treated him like shit. Like absolutely shit, he grape him multiple times, laids hand on him (if I'm not mistaken) and verbally abuse the MC so bad that He took his own life. The ML suddenly started to feel regret and remorse that he wish he could restart therefore he knows what happens what his preference are and etc. He wants to make things right in this life but the mc starts to get pieces of memories from this previous life
