i feel like the story focuses more on the duke and the duchess relationship rather than the different plotholes. it started very chill with the duchess perspective of their relationship. i mean she has never been intimate with her husband, then she suddenly knew his secrets, so divorce was to be expected. but when the duke started opening his mouth, it started to make sense. like aahh this is what the story's about. they were just trying to understand the love they give for each other. it's adorable in a way bc we knew that the guy was totally smitten with her, vice versa. the thing with the side character's story, they just exist to further explain why he's a psycho. well, technically, its the formula needed for his character. but oh well. smut is more on vanilla than s&m. i was expecting hardcore stuff but i guess he really does treat her like a goddess.
overall, very chill, nothing to hype about. good smut, i wish there could be more. and just plain decent.
