I agree with you. it's not like everyone can stand up to their attackers bravely and also the little bro has dirt on his older brother so it's not like he can refuse :( if those pictures are leaked, basically everyone will lose respect for him and he'll be outcasted with only his little brother to look to. I mean, he'll be free from his little brother blackmailing him but just both scenarios aren't pretty :(

I definitely get how it can be difficult to put yourself in such a situation without having experienced such a thing - I really do, but as a former victim of sexual abuse for years by my brother; it's not that easy. You don't see options. You don't think there's a way out. The older brother is clearly suffering from trauma and flashbacks (could be seen at the train-scene with his now love-interest), depression, sleepless nights, probably malnutrition and anxiety.
This has clearly been going on for a good while, their "relationship" - it also started out with brutal force whereas "no" and struggling against it was not efficent in any way which even caused him injuries on his body. Especially it being a family member, it is extremely difficult, because you truly do care about them and he is also clearly being manipulated day by day, and slowly losing his will to even go on and caring anymore. He IS a victim. He would do anything to get out of it, like any other person would. If there's even a slight chance to the younger brother stopping for good if it's "one last time", you damn well take it.

I will never understand people siding with a manipulative rapist and blaming the older brother - but I guess that's just "yaoi-culture" for you.

I've thought of that too but with his situation, if you have a new reason and strength to stop things, why wouldn't you do so? Maybe I don't understand because we all have different experiences but I was just baffled as to how he easily agreed to it. He didn't think that he now has a lover, and that the affected person wouldn't just be him. It was all too fast. Maybe he didn't think anymore because he just wanted a way out but ugh haha it's all a matter of difference in principles I think.

I agree with you 100%; I want to add that I recognize that the younger brother is also a victim, but he is still in no way justified in his abuse of his older brother. You can seek help and confide in people, but being a victim doesn't justify him victimizing someone else, especially when they're family and obviously care about you
also it's not just yaoi-culture, it's rape-culture overall, and it's really disgusting how so many aspects of our society perpetuate it :(
