I started reading this 6 years ago in the app called webcomics. I remember being so obsessed and shouting "this is so unique, we need anime adaptation for this!" but then I also remembered dropping this story along with the app itself. Re-reading it now brings memory as to why I did it; cuz its trash. The author no longer knows what to do with that drama they created. Like, the thing with Anna Yin's death? yeah it was just there sitting so people will get curious about it. There's nothing in it actually, it just there to create mystery. I also kind of remember they were like publishing 3 comics with the same pink haired heroin with the same plot of "betrayal and living once again" and even lines get reused like when Luna told to Claudia "Well I'm speaking to you, do you feel seduced?" was also used by Lu An'ran in the rebirth of the rich and wealthy, the author's other comic. And yeah, that "birthmark" thingy feels like sailor moon wearing a mask. So dumb like be it there or not ghurl you look the same! also what do you mean "I used oil painting and 3d technique, heightened by light and shadow" dawg the dialogue is very highfalutin wtf

Ok, so nobody is going to discuss how they hired Shakespear for the dialogues? I swear it wasn't that poetic at the beginning. Don't get me wrong I'm at Literary course, I love novels and Shakespearean pieces, however, this is becoming ridiculous. One or two is fine but bruh, THE WHOLE DIALOGUES ARE TRASH! ALL FOR THE SAKE OF "oh this is for accuracy, this is how they speak in the medieval era" or some sort?

If anyone is asking when the foreshadowing first happened about the mirror thingy, it was at chapter 29, Marianne gliching into Allysa after asking the brother whether he is alright (or the brother just getting reminded of Allysa from Marianne's [supposedly] kind gestures) Followed by chapter 80 or 81 where the MC saw a mirror and saw Marianne's reflection. Then we had the recent chap which complements chapter 80 or 81, where Marianne then showed us her reflection, appearing to be Allysa.
This twist is very shocking and confusing at the same time. Because the first foreshadow (chap 29), the Brother remembered Allysa as the black haired sister. So if the twist was supposed to be Marianne making everyone see her as black haired and Allysa appearing to have silver hair, then why the Brother reminisced Allysa as the one with the black hair? (Check chapter 29). Bruduh it's confusing but imma still dine with it

She had black hair and green eyes all along dont worry.. Mariannee has silver and golden redish eyes and her mirror image or more precisely what she shows is Alyssa to others. The older brother sometimes tho feels the dark magic and that is why he gets out of the brainwash and remenisces the actual Alyssa.
Stop comparing novels and manhwas as if this wasn't the first time things happened so differently. Grow up
It was just a very important scene i’m not even a huge fan of this manhwa but the novel had such great dialogue and you could see how bad it was for Ruby. Everyone’s reactions as well has so much more impact since they could see what Ruby has truly been through. It’s okay to be slightly disappointed since again, this was an important scene
The things is, yall webtoon readers wouldve gotten such a great scene if only they didnt mellow shit out
Look here buddy, I read the novel too, but I ain't gonna yap like "but the novel's dialogue and portrayals are way more amazing" THAT'S NOVEL FOR FORKS SAKE of course it will be good like duh??? Webtoons are literally stories through drawing, ofc they wont be able to capture the essense of the novel you dimwit? Can you draw? Yes or no it wont change a thing, yall just too rude. The artists are all trying their best to draw, be grateful enough our motherfather favorite novels are getting adaptation a-holes
Also buddy, there's just very little, like incky winky tiny finger count artist who were able to portray a novel's emotion to drawings (like the artist of Villainess destined to die) so you can't be picky about it. Be thankful enough they did not trash the things out cuz that's what you can yap about. TBH you people are just ruining it for webtoon readers. I ead the novel but I ain't gonna say 'its disappointing' or something along the lines cuz its too, like TOOO RUDE FOR THE ARTISTS WHO ARE TRYING TO WORK ON OUR MOTHERFATHER FAVORITE NOVEL
thank you ! i'm getting tired of the same comments on every webtoon that was adapted !! like give us a break
I was just about to comment the same thing, but that game me a little bit of an eye opening. But let us whine a little ╥﹏╥ It was simply such an amazing scene, that would leave the spectators knowing that the pervert was not simply having a fight with his sister, but downright dangerous and abusive.
The webtoon could have cut it short, have the same way of ruby hitting the glass and all, but protray it with ruby coming out still as heavily injured through bubbles and sfx. I don't know.. It just brought so much anticipation and understanding to everything, including the frustrations they were holding in. It's such a shame ( ̄∇ ̄")
btw. this was the first webtoon that brought me to the light novel phase.
you know what they say about, anime > manga > webtoon > light novel
IKR dude, that scene is phenomenal. The way the author wrote that scene is gut wrenching and all of our accumulated emotions were lashed out all at once, no wonder the artist had a sore time trying to draw it. Its just that its too good that the artist wasn't able to adapt the scene as much as we expected it.
It’s really not the art it’s the fact that they cut out practically the climax of the story and they cut out Ruby‘s dialogue which was important to her character and the story. It was an important scene. The story already had problems Including not giving the characters enough depth including the literal ml. Nothing truly impactful happen in the story except that scene which they cut out. It’s okay to be disappointed when they cut out important scenes.
exactly like suri-nim didn't have 6 months hiatus due to their health issues just for you guys to shit about it
Holy fuck your are invested, people complain because they had expectations, you cant just tell people to "DONT BITCH ABOUT IT, JUST SHUT UP" like, they like the series because of these expectations. The author set it up for greatness, and then boom you just get.. that? I get your sentiment and all, but to act rude to someone who just wants everyone to have the same feeling of greatness is something else. Im grateful this series even had an artist tha can draw better than the average webtoon artist, but still, like i said, the author wrote the novel to do great so we expected the same, you cannot always avoid disappoint from anything. Expressing your opinion and bashing someone, are completely deffirent things, that goes to both you and the readers who cant tone down their ego/irritation. And fyi, i personally never complained about shit, it was just a little insight to how i saw the situation. Chill out, i dont represent ayone who wants to shit on the artist.
