We see Taeju trying to monopolize him from the start, forming a condependent relationship, which is of course toxic. The whole financial/romantic situation created like scenes. Tbh I think Taeju didn't see the consequences of his actions until they hit him like a brick. What saved the day was Euihyun's character, one of the best in BL honestly, and Taeju's actions as soon as he realized that he fucked up.
