For me, every person in a BL is bisexual until proven otherwise, because many main characters in a BL start off as straight or have no real preference until their potential partner arrives. Also, just because a guy likes anal doesn't mean they are gay; the same goes for falling for another guy; they could be bi or pansexual. Which is why I don't really mind this trope.
