I think it's fair that people might have been drawn into the story, but dislike the violence, rape, mutilation etc. because those are huge turn offs. It isn't really about reading comprehension, since it's a story that's supposed to be turning people on at the end of the day ¯_(ツ)_/¯ It ain't that deep

eugenes little brother falls in love with MC after hearing his side of the story, honestly i was rooting for them because a cute and healthy relationship wouldve been caused ! but then MC rejects him and meets up with eugene again, only for him to harass him as usual, then explains how he escaped the assaulters before they could do anything and ended up living at a young lady’s house for the rest of his life (whilst our MC was living in the streets getting beaten up fighting like a wild dog to survive) they end up fucking for the last three chapters and professing their fuckass love to eachother.
