low key felt bad for hong ryeon too since it's rly hard to be compared to your sibling so harshly just because you were born with the same face...that kiss scene too with the classmate that only kissed her because she had the same face as her older sister...but in the end she resented her sister and became arrogant when she ruined her good-natured sister's life.
the way i see it is that although hong ryeon had to endure a harder life, she should have just held onto whatever she had that was solely hers, oh yeah and also try to live her own life. like seriously hong ryeon, if u think abt it ur sister also has your face but she made her own life with it. it's kinda like jiho and duke in looksim, how they were both bottom of the pyramid dwellers but they took different approaches to their situation
ah but really, hong ryeon was clever she almost got away with everything. what actaully proves ones existence besides their appearance? personality is hard to copy but if we all looked the same it's be easy to pass off as someone else if u really try
also, parent's are at fault here too
oh and here's what I think about wonim, he just likes the sex. he's a douchebag and wbk. he knew that he slept with Hong ryeon before his actual gf. he probably got w janghwa bc she's pretty and everything and was wondering when they were going to become sexually active after learning she's innocent girl. having a side chick for wonim was probably exciting for him (his gf's sister not to mention), that and/or he enjoyed having sex w hang ryeon. so he though he could have a cute gf amd girl w the same face for when he needs to satisfy his sexual desires. when he saw janghwa's blood, his suspicions that he's been sleeping with hong ryeon were confirmed. at the end he wasn't in the right state of mind so he couldn't identify who was who. when hong ryeon waa kidnapped and janghwa was blamed, he wasn't gonna continue dating her, after they broke up he just pined for HR quietly lmao. the ofc he wants to get back w janghwa later bc she comes back as hot as always but he might have just been hoping to make hong ryeon jealous. re reading some chapters after finishing the series, it's easier to see wonim's true nature.
